The HobbyZone AeroScout S 2 (HBZ380001) is a 1.1m wingspan ready-to-fly RC trainer aircraft designed specifically for first-time pilots and anyone learning to fly RC planes. Built from lightweight yet tough EPO foam, it comes virtually fully assembled and ships with a Spektrum DXS 2.4GHz transmitter, Spektrum AR631 receiver, brushless motor, and 30A ESC already installed — so setup time is minimal. What sets this RC trainer apart is its built-in SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology, which actively limits the aircraft's pitch and roll to help prevent loss of control and crashes. Three selectable flight modes — Beginner, Intermediate, and Experienced — let you progressively reduce stability assistance as your skills develop, and a Panic Recovery mode returns the plane to level flight at the press of a button. The pusher motor configuration keeps the propeller protected during ground handling and rough landings, while the tricycle undercarriage with oversized tyres and a steerable nose wheel makes ground take-offs and landings manageable on grass or pavement. Optional floats are also available separately for water operations.
