The Bergepanzer BPz2 ARV (Polish: Bergepanzer BPz2 Assault Team) is a German recovery vehicle used to repair and tow damaged vehicles or equipment on the battlefield. It is an armored vehicle based on the chassis of the Leopard 2 tank.
The Bergepanzer BPz2 ARV is equipped with a crane with a lifting capacity of up to 35 tons, which allows the lifting and transport of damaged or destroyed vehicles. It also has a winch with significant towing force, allowing vehicles to be pulled out of difficult terrain.
The Bergepanzer BPz2 ARV also has the ability to carry out field repairs. It is equipped with a set of tools and devices such as a welding machine, air compressor and tire repair kit, which allows for minor repairs to be carried out on site.
The Bergepanzer BPz2 ARV is used by the German Armed Forces and is also exported to some other countries. Its task is to support units in difficult field conditions, enabling the rapid repair of damaged vehicles and their restoration to full operational condition.
