Macauley Jones returned to BJR for the 2022 season and being a part of a famous Australian motorsport family was eager to improve on the trying 2021 season. The monochromatic black and white livery stood out on the Albert Park Circuit, as tools.com returned as major sponsors of the #96 car. Jones qualified inside the top 10 at 8th with his fastest racing of the season to date and the Friday race was even better with Jones taking 6th – his best finish for the 2022 season so far and only top 10 finish.
