Not only we have created a completely new model with incredible details and museum finish for modelers, we also have developed a complete and detailed multimedia assembly guide on DVD format so that the assembly of your scale of L'Hermione is a real pleasure.
This legendary French boat model has been made from the original ship plans, and then it has been created through 3D design, making it a 100% new model. Our passion for crafts is immense.
KIT CONTENTS OF HERMIONE LA FAYETTE WOODEN MODEL KIT
What are the contents of the Hermione La Fayette wooden model ship kit? The 1:89scale model is made with high precision laser cut plywood parts; birch veneer; wooden and brass parts; high-quality photo-etched brass parts; and everything necessary to build this amazing model. The cotton sails are sewn by hand and ready to be placed on the model. The kit has exhibition base to expose the model once it is finished.
It also has a DVD for computers -PC et MAC- that contains a single step-by-step guide with more than 2,000 images in total, but it also show on video the techniques and tricks of modeling used by professionals. The kit does not contain any printed instructions.
As additional sets to give the model more realism -not included in the Hermione La Fayette Model Kit, the modeler can purchase a Set of 14 Metal Figures(22517-F) to be assembled and painted. You can also add the Set of Water-Based acrylic Paints for Hermione La Fayette Model Ship(277PACK4). We remind you that they both are sold separately from the ship model kit. Clearly, its realism brings the soul of the replica to reality.
HISTORY OF A LEGENDARY BOAT: HERMIONE LA FAYETTE FRIGATE
On March 21, 1780, the young Marquis La Fayette boards on the Hermione, direction America to fight on the side of the American insurgents who were fighting for their independence. Two years earlier, at the arsenal of Rochefort, on a step near the Corderie Royale, the Hermione was built.
Two centuries later, in 1997, the building off with full replica of Hermione, which in 2015 has completed the same journey as the original ship. Artesanía Latina has the official license of the Hermione La Fayette Association. Join us on this new Hermione journey!
